There's no doubt that the Google Nexus 5 has become one of the most eagerly anticipated smartphones of the year, as leaks related to the device just keep coming in, even as the expected launch nears.
A new leaked hands-on video of the alleged Nexus 5 has been spotted on YouTube. The video has been posted by Kari Bena and appears to show a pre-production unit of the next Nexus smartphone, as the device is seen running 'Key Lime Pie'. The hands-on video shows the Nexus 5 in its full glory and reveals overall design of the device. In addition, the leaked video also shows some of the popular Google apps on the device such as Chrome, YouTube, Camera app, Calendar, Keep app, and Google Earth.

The leaked video also shows four home-screens on the Nexus 5 which houses apps and folders. The video has been shot in mute mode and not much could be deciphered. The Nexus 5 seen in the leaked video matches the leaks we have seen as of late. The new leaked video of the device match the leaks we have seen as of late.

Google and LG have been tight-lipped about the launch of the upcoming Nexus smartphone, however, a recent leak suggested the device will be announced on November 1. Till now however, no official event has been scheduled for the unveiling.

Recently, a Nexus 5 pre-registration page went live in Canada via a carrier, Wind Mobile, which also confirmed the specifications. The leaked specifications were in-line with the earlier leaks, and suggest that the Nexus 5 will come with a 4.95-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS LCD display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera with OIS and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options expected on the smartphone are Wi-Fi, NFC (Android Beam), and Bluetooth 4.0, while the device is likely to come in two storage variants - 16GB and 32GB. The alleged device has also been expected to include a host of sensors like ambient light, proximity, pressure as well as accelerometer, compass, notification LED and gyroscope.

Pricing for the 16GB Nexus 5 was revealed when the phone was accidentally listed on the Google Play store - $349. It is expected that the next Nexus smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet would run Android 4.4 KitKat, and that all three (including the new OS) are due to be launched at the same event.

The much-anticipated first Tizen smartphone from Samsung, thought to be called the Redwood Z9005, has been purportedly revealed thanks to a hands-on video that surfaced online.
Tizen Experts has posted a hands-on video showing Samsung's rumoured Tizen smartphone, the Redwood Z9005, which quite obviously appears to be a pre-production unit. The hands-on video reveals does reveal the phone's overall design however. The smartphone is seen running Tizen OS version 2.2 with build number Z9005XXMI3, which according to the site is still under development.

The reviewer also claims that the Samsung Redwood Tizen smartphone was recently sent to developers in India. The 10 minute long hands-on video shows the smartphone in action and reveals different features such as how the toggle of the smartphone features a scrollable status bar with icon animations, looking quite similar to Android and even Samsung's TouchWiz UI.

The notifications toggle of Redwood also shows a clear all button, which is again similar to the Android smartphones. Other interface similarities with Samsung's TouchWiz UI are further showcased in the video. Finally, the hands-on also shows the device coming with 12.15GB of inbuilt storage (user-accessible).

There were rumours about the delay in the rollout of Tizen based devices, but it seems Samsung might release its first Tizen smartphone soon.

Previously a report suggested that Samsung's SM-Z9005 Tizen smartphone would come with an HD display, Snapdragon chipset. However, the screen size was not revealed and it was also not clear if it would be a dual-core or a quad=core processor.

A pre-release version of 'Tizen 3.0' was also leaked in September this year, running on the Samsung Galaxy S4, which gave a look at the alleged user-interface of the Tizen OS.

Earlier this month, Systena unveiled the Tizen tablet build kits, which was the first Tizen-based tablet to be available in the market; however, it was specifically aimed at developers in Japan.

Sony has confirmed that a new Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the Sony Xperia L is now rolling out. This news comes from @SonyMobileNews, which is the company's PR team's official twitter handle.
The tweet reads, "Rolling from now: JB 4.2 for #XperiaL - custom ops, small apps, latest Sony's media apps & improved camera functions." The update for Xperia L is available via over-the-air (OTA), and also through the PC Companion desktop app.

Sony has also released a changelog for the update (build number 15.3.A.0.26) that reveals the Xperia L will be getting a revamped home screen for handling widgets, apps and shortcuts, and would also get seven desktop panes. Other new features include a new app tray sorting interface that makes it easier to move, add, and create folders for apps; a new search function within the app tray to locate local apps; a UI update; added functionality in the Sony Media apps, and finally, new camera functionalities such as Burst mode.

It seems Google isn't the only one accidentally listing its upcoming Nexus smartphone online, as a new report reveals that a Canadian mobile carrier put up a page on Facebook for pre-registering the Nexus 5.
As per Android Police Wind Mobile, a Canadian carrier made the Nexus 5 pre-registration page live on Facebook for users to get notified when the device is available, ahead of the official launch, though the pre-registration page did not suggest any details of availability and pricing of the Nexus 5. However, the page has been reportedly taken down after initial reports which say it did reveal a complete specifications list.

We have already seen a number of purported specifications revealed of the upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone, and the latest leak does not add anything new. New leaked specifications are in-line with the earlier leaks and suggest that the Nexus 5 will come with a 4.95-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with OIS and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options expected in the smartphone are Wi-Fi, NFC (Android Beam), and Bluetooth 4.0, while the device is likely to come in two storage variants 16GB and 32GB. The alleged device has also been expected to include a host of sensors like ambient light, proximity, pressure as well as accelerometer, compass, notification LED and gyroscope

In addition, the report has published some images that purportedly reveal piles of Nexus 5 boxed ready to ship in Canada. The Android Police received the images from a user on Neogaf and claims it to be from a LG distribution centre in Canada.

It is expected that the next Nexus smartphone and Nexus 10 tablet would run Android 4.4 KitKat, and that all three are due to be launched at the same event.

The gold-plated HTC One Mini 16GB storage variant comes at price of 1247.50 British Pounds, which roughly translates to Rs. 1,23,812, and is available via Goldgenie's site.

The HTC One mini Gold edition is premium variant of the smartphone with a new colour addition of 24-carat gold on the design of the device. The HTC One mini Gold edition is custom manufactured by Goldgenie, which has been previously associated with gold plating devices. The One mini is also available in Platinum and Rose Gold finish.

The Taiwanese handset maker announced the One mini, a compact version of its flagship smartphone, the HTC One, in July this year. It features the same design as its elder sibling, and comes with a 4.3-inch S-LCD3 display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels and pixel density of 341ppi. It is powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and has 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage but doesn't feature any external expansion options. The smartphone runs Android 4.2 with HTC's Sense 5 UI layer on top, and includes HTC BlinkFeed, that delivers social updates, news updates and photos directly to the home screen of the phone.

The HTC One mini sports the same UltraPixel Camera (with a 4-megapixel lens) that the HTC One boasts of. It also features HTC Zoe and Video Highlights imaging features. The phone offers a 1.6-megapixel front facing camera for video calls and self-clicks. It's powered by an 1800mAh non-removable battery.

The gold-plated HTC One mini was leaked ahead of the launch and NDTV Gadgets had received exclusive images of the unannounced HTC One mini Gold colour variant from an anonymous tipster. The leaked images had revealed the rear panel of the HTC One mini in its full glory.

When Apple first detailed iOS 7, it briefly hinted at support for gaming controllers. It also later discussed it with developers in documentation. It now appears that one of the first iPhone gamepad controllers is being developed by Logitech, and would be available under the product name, Powershell.

A render featuring the front and back of the Logitech gamepad, complete with an iPhone 5, was posted online by the notorious @evleaks through his Twitter account. This was followed up by another tweet, just a few days back, that said the device would be named Powershell.

Now, a trademark listing page on trademark and patent filing database Legalforce, for the same Logitech Powershell gaming controller has been spotted online.

The listing describes the device as an 'integrated game control device and battery pack for use with computers and digital electronic devices.' It was filed on 18 September by Logitech. The name Powershell definitely hints at the presence of a battery pack.

The render of the Logitech gamepad revealed a controller that allows the iPhone to fit inside it. In line with the controller diagrams that appeared in Apple's documentation, the controller includes shoulder buttons, a d-pad direction controller on the left and action buttons and a pause key on the right. The back has an opening to allow users to take pictures with the iPhone's camera, and a stylised 'G' branding.

Apple did not talk about game controllers when it unveiled the new iPhones and the new iPads, at its special events. It would be interesting to see how games developed keeping in mind these controllers drive forward the iPhone as a gaming device.

It was previously reported that according to Apple's guidelines for MFi game controllers (MFi is a licensing program to get the hardware components, tools, documentation, technical support, and certification logos needed to create electronic accessories that connect to iPod, iPhone, and iPad), game developers who offer support for game controllers would need to ensure that their games also work without them and that there's going to be a "Made for iPhone" branding for these controllers

New rumours have indicated that Alcatel is set to launch a new 7-inch tablet, the One Touch Pop, based on a leaked image.
The leaked image claims to reveal the upcoming tablet from Alcatel, and has been leaked by prolific tipster, @evleaks on Google+ feed. The leaked images show the alleged One Touch Pop tablet in different colour variants in dual-tone, with a white front panel and differently-hued rear panels. The leaked image suggests that the rumoured One Touch Pop would feature a sleek form-factor, and would be running an unidentifiable version of Android OS. The display of the alleged One Touch Pop tablet is seen with Alcatel's smartphone UI which also houses Google Play store. As of now, except the device's name, nothing else about the tablet (such as availability, pricing and specifications) has been revealed by the tipster.

Alcatel has been a low-profile competitor in the tablet segment and mainly targets the budget Android tablet market. Alcatel unveiled its first tablet, the One Touch Evo 8 HD at IFA in September this year.

The Alcatel One Touch Evo 8 HD tablet comes with an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. The tablet measures 152.5x222x9mm and weighs around 415 grams. It runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. The device is powered by dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz along with 1GB of RAM. There is 3-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 64GB with the help of microSD card. The tablet comes 3G and 4G connectivity options as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB. It seems nothing is going Google's way - after unintentionally listing the Nexus 5 smartphone on the Play Store ahead of its expected release, the search giant has now reportedly listed the yet-to-be-announced next-generation Nexus 10 tablet.
The listing has since been pulled down, as per Phonearena, but it apparently confirmed the complete specifications of the new Nexus 10 tablet. The leaked screenshots of the Google Play store listing published by Phonearena reveal much about Google's upcoming tablet; however, there was no word about the possible pricing and availability of the device.

As per the leaked screenshot, the rumoured Nexus 10 tablet is said to come with 10.05-inch display with 2560x1600 pixels resolution and would boast a pixel density of 300ppi. Internally, the tablet is said to come powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, much like the Nexus 7 (2013) tablet, along with 3GB of RAM. It is also said to sport an 8-megapixel rear camera alongside a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

Further the listing also revealed that the tablet would pack a huge 9000mAh battery and weigh about 584 grams with a thickness of 7.9mm. The alleged Nexus 10 tablet is expected to run Android 4.4 KitKat.

The official product shots of the Nexus 10 tablet were also included in the leaked screenshot, which were in-line with earlier leaked render.

It is expected that the next Nexus smartphone and tablets would run Android 4.4 KitKat, and that the smartphone would be the platform lead device for the operating system, with all three due to be launched at the same event.

South Korea's LG Electronics Inc unveiled a curved smartphone G Flex on Monday in a move to catch up bigger rival Samsung Electronics Co.
Curved displays and flexible screens are the new battleground for phone makers as the screens open up possibilities that could eventually transform the high-end smartphone market.
Curved smartphones provide a more comfortable grip than flat-screen models, but the lack of must-have features means they are unlikely to be big consumer hits anytime soon, analysts have said. Manufacturing costs also remain relatively high.
Both Samsung and LG's curved phones are only available in the South Korean market as they seek to gauge consumer appetite.
Samsung launched a variant of the popular Galaxy Note earlier this month as the world's first smartphone with a display slightly curved side to side.
The model launched on Monday by LG Electronics has a vertically curved six-inch display. The company said the phone will be available from next month through South Korea's three mobile carriers.
Its vertically curved display offers more immersive video watching experience and the phone uses a curved battery to support its form factor, LG said.
Changing form factors of the battery as well as phone's chip board and other components remain a challenge in achieving flexible devices.
LG is among a slew of smaller companies struggling to compete against Samsung and Apple Inc, the smartphone leaders that account for almost all the industry's profits.
LG reported last week an 80 billion won operating loss from its handset division for the third-quarter due to marketing costs surrounding a smartphone launch in August.
The company plans to increase marketing investment in the current quarter to raise brand awareness in the high-end market, which it hopes will help expand sales later in the mid to lower-end segments.
Technology analysts and media reports say Apple is also working on a smartwatch, potentially with a curved screen, but there has been no word from the Cupertino California-based company about its plans.

We have already seen a number of purported images of the upcoming Nexus 5 smartphone, but this time the infamous phone tipster, @evleaks has revealed the device in its alleged White colour variant. However, there is no word whether the leaked image is an official render, but smartphone it looks a lot like the device seen in leaks in the past, as well as the smartphone seen in the 'official' accidental listing of the $349 16GB Nexus 5 on the Google Play store. Importantly, the leak also indicates a November 1 launch date, though till now, no official event has been scheduled for the unveiling.
The tipster has posted the press render on Twitter and reveals a two-tone White colour variant with a black front panel and a white rear panel. Further, the render shows a homescreen which houses apps for camera, Chrome, hangout, dialer, Play Store and Google's Hub that houses usual Google apps like Gmail, Google Photos, Google+ among others. The tweet reads, "In white. 11/1.".

Rumoured specifications of the Nexus 5 include a 4.95-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS LCD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with OIS and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The alleged device has also been expected to include a host of sensors like ambient light, proximity, pressure as well as accelerometer, compass, notification LED and gyroscope.

It is expected that the next Nexus smartphone would run Android 4.4 KitKat, and that the smartphone would be the platform lead device for the operating system, with both due to be launched at the same event alongside next-generation Nexus 10 tablet.

Previously, a pre-release version of Tizen 3.0 was leaked running on the Samsung Galaxy S4, giving us a first look at the alleged user-interface of the OS.

The leaked Tizen OS images revealed the lockscreen, which looked quite similar to Samsung's Touch UI. The images leaked also gave a glimpse of UI which looked a bit familiar to Windows Phone UI. The notifications appeared on the lockscreen along with some app controls. Other UI features revealed by the leaked image included a dial-pad interface which was similar to that of Android and the Music player which looked quiet colourful. The Tizen 3.0 mobile operating system has been expected to bring new features such as a secure app development environment and framework for social services and context, claims the site.

More details appear to have been leaked regarding LG's first curved display smartphone, rumoured to be called the 'G Flex'. This time, it comes in the form of live images and a hands-on video posted by technology journalist Frederico Ini of Telefe Noticias, who seems to have received a prototype unit. The Verge spotted the images first and claims that it received some information about LG's upcoming curved display smartphone from Frederico as well.
As per the site, the yet to be officially announced LG 'G Flex' smartphone is curved from top to bottom, unlike Samsung's Galaxy Round which bends from sides and is being said to come with 6-inch curved OLED display. The site suggests that the smartphone is likely to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera, again similar to the LG G2. The video reveals that the LG 'G Flex' would come with similar features as found in other LG's high-end smartphones.

The latest leaked images and video suggest that the launch of the LG 'G Flex' is not far and LG might soon join Samsung with the launch of its first curved display smartphone.

Apple has released the iOS 7.0.3 update for users running iOS 7, 7.0.1 or 7.0.2 on their iPhone 4 (or later), iPad 2 (or later), iPad mini (or later), and the iPod touch (fifth-generation) devices.

The iOS 7.0.3  update brings a number of new features including support for iCloud Keychain, which Apple had initially announced when it first showcased the OS at the WWDC event in June.

The new iOS 7 update is a 67.7MB download on an iPhone 5, and can be downloaded over the air on devices or via iTunes on computers.

As we mentioned, the iOS 7.0.3 update adds iCloud Keychain that allows users to save and sync account user names, passwords, and credit card numbers across all their approved iOS and Mac (the ones that run OS X Mavericks) devices in the Safari web browser.

It also brings the Password Generator through which Safari suggests unique, hard-to-guess passwords for users' online accounts. The update also brings back the ability to search the web and Wikipedia through Spotlight search, allowing users to search for keywords directly via iOS' universal search feature.

These two features were not introduced with the initial release of iOS 7, as they need users to run OS X Mavericks on their Macs if they want to benefit from the sync feature. Mavericks was made available only on Tuesday.

A number of users complained about iOS 7's motion graphics and animations and to address these issues, Apple has enhanced the Reduce Motion setting to minimise both motion and animation in the OS UI. It also updates the Bold Text setting to change dial pad text.

The 7.0.3 update also delays the display of "slide to unlock" when Touch ID is in use, for iPhone 5s users.

In addition to new features, the iOS 7.0.3 update also brings a number of fixes to the OS. It fixes iMessages issues that were being reported by a number of users including message sending failures and activation problems.

The update also fixes an accelerometer calibration issue. It's worth pointing out that it was reported that the iPhone 5s motion sensors were not giving accurate readings. The update might be able to fix the issue.

The 7.0.3 update addresses an issue that could cause Siri and VoiceOver to use a lower quality voice and one that could cause VoiceOver input to be too sensitive. It also improves system stability when using iWork apps, following reports of the iPhone 5s crashing while using the apps.

Interestingly, there's also a security fix as Apple mentions that the update fixes a bug that could allow someone to bypass the Lock screen passcode.

Apple had previously released the iOS 7.0.2 update in September to fix the lock screen vulnerabilities that were discovered after the public release of iOS 7.
